Ok, good, thanks for testing USB devices - I've been testing it on USB as well and I found no problem but you know - more testing, more results, more potential bugs found :)
Thanks,
Michal

I've tested with usb hardware and patch looks good. I don't have a machine with vt-d so not able to test that part of it.

Yeah, you may be right Haydn. In fact I am not really familiar with PCI stuff. I've always preferred USB before PCI :) If you can do some testing, it will be great... If not, just somebody else will - at least I hope ;)

I believe processor needs vt-d extensions to support pci passthrough.

Hi,
I've been digging addhardware code in virt-manager to find out how it's working in order to create a patch to show USB/PCI host devices information bits. It's been tested and it's working fine for USB devices but I was unable to add PCI device to any VM under KVM (maybe I don't know how to do this but it should be working for both USB and PCI devices according to the source code). I've tested this patch in VMM with USB devices and new information about vendor, product and full device name has been added...
If somebody could test it with PCI devices as well, it would be great.
Thanks,
Michal
