On many systems (my HP laptop included), hardware virtualization needs
to be explicitly enabled in the BIOS, even if it the correct flags
(svm|vmx) are in /proc/cpuinfo. Other than that, installation of kvm
*should* handle loading the kvm module and the kvm-intel or kvm-amd
modues, though I'd check with a "lsmod | grep kvm" to be sure.
