Try:
yum --enablerepo=updates-testing install libguestfs
That should get you at least version 1.2.3-1.fc12.6 which is (almost)
the latest stable version.

Look for the .fc12 packages in that list. You won't be able to
install the .fc14 packages on Fedora 12.

Can you try running:
virt-inspector --perl wiki
and see what the output is? It'd be really useful to file bug(s)
about this too, so that we can formally track the issue.
