After a quick test, it seems you can mix spice or vnc with qxl or cirrus as you like.
It would be nice if someone more experience with qemu/spice could confirm.

I have updated virt-viewer to support SPICE: http://bitbucket.org/elmarco/virt-viewer
We should release Spice with Gtk client support soonish, so that other packages (including virt-manager) can start using it.
