Thanks!  I wasn't aware of these programs at all.

I think for preseeding, though, I prefer the initrd injection because
that way the installer sees a completely bare (virtual) system.  Seems
a little simpler to me right now.  I'll have to have a closer look at
the libguestfs site though: looks very useful.
