[virt-tools-list] virt-manager does not save connections

i had the same problem on a gentoo server. I solved this by installing 
'dconf' & 'dbus'.
After that i started the service dbus and set it default for the 
runlevel.
Now all works fine.
Maybe this solves your issue.
